Course Description

This course focuses on using digital technologies to develop learners’ employability skills in authentic, visible ways. You’ll explore how ePortfolios, blogs, digital portfolios and online resumes can be used to document learning, showcase skills and support reflective practice over time. You’ll examine strategies for digital expression, including content creation across text, audio and video, and how to guide learners to use social media and blogging constructively.

You’ll then look at digital problem solving in different workplace contexts, using case studies (such as construction trades) to design practical portfolio based activities that highlight both technical and interpersonal skills. Finally, you’ll investigate collaborative tools and platforms that support shared work, version control, security and safe sharing, helping learners experience the kinds of digital collaboration they’ll encounter in employment.
Note: Access is granted for 3 months from the date of enrolment.
