Course Description

This course contains the following lessons:

Topic 1: eSafety
In this lesson, you will learn to recognise online threats, including identity theft, their consequences, and how to protect yourself. You’ll learn to use simple passcodes to access devices, how to differentiate between public and private computers (and how that affects what information you access), together with developing an awareness of the impact of gaming on your physical and mental health, and when you need to take a break! 

 Topic 2: Security & Passwords
This lesson will teach you how to create safe, secure passwords, use incognito windows, and develop an understanding of VPNs and firewalls. You’ll learn to recognise and handle suspicious communication, and how to identify different types of malware. 

 Topic 3: Cybersecurity
This lesson is an introduction to cybersecurity as a consumer and explores topics such as protecting against common attacks and threats such as malware, viruses and ransomware along with other essential principles and steps that can be taken to protect your data.
