Katya, a nationally recognised leader in Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, is passionate about shifting how providers view compliance: less as a regulatory burden and more as a strategic advantage.
With over a decade of experience, Katya co-founded Hawkeye Consultancy with one goal in mind: to make compliance clear, practical, and yes, even a little fun. Throughout her career, she has partnered with hundreds of providers across government, enterprise, not-for-profit, and private settings - supporting them with compliance leadership, academic quality, and student support systems.
Katya specialise in the Standards for RTOs, National Code 2018, ESOS Act, and a broad range of state-funded training contracts.
Katya also proudly serves as the Chair of the ITECA Queensland Committee, where she actively advocates for policy reform that’s grounded in real-world experience. She works closely with peak bodies, regulators, and education leaders to push for greater clarity, consistency, and quality across the sector.
