Course Description

This Level 2 Experimenting lesson builds on the Investigating level assessment content by focusing on how to select and design digital assessments that genuinely measure what matters. In Topic 1, you will examine how assessment purpose (diagnostic, formative, summative) shapes your choice of tools and formats, and explore key considerations such as authentication, evidence retention, reporting, security and storage.

You will work through practical examples involving video and audio submissions, simulations and VR, question banks, remediation and adaptive assessment. In Topic 2, you will dive into the design of quality online questions—multiple choice, matching/categorising, ordering, fill in the blanks and hotspots—with a strong emphasis on wording, distractors, accessibility and feedback so that your assessments are both rigorous and learner centred.
Note: Access is granted for 3 months from the date of enrolment.
