Webinar Description

This foundational session introduces the core concepts of generative AI, moving beyond the headlines to establish a practical understanding of how these tools work and where they fit within the Australian VET sector (without the G’Day at the start of every paragraph, and no bouncing kangaroos in the imagery we produce).

Key topics covered:

The AI Landscape Now: An update on the evolution from ChatGPT to a mature ecosystem of large language models (LLMs) like Claude, Gemini, and agents

The Art of the Prompt: Learn the fundamentals of how LLMs work (tokens, neural networks) and how to write effective prompts to get the results you need

Strengths and Hallucinations: A realistic look at the incredible strengths and critical weaknesses of generative AI, including issues of bias, accuracy, and misinformation

Use Cases in VET: An overview of how AI is already being used to transform education, business, and creative domains, with a focus on opportunities for RTOs
