Course Description

This Level 2 Experimenting lesson builds on the Level 1 Accessibility & Inclusion content by moving from “awareness” to practical design and troubleshooting. You will explore how to select digital teaching strategies that adapt to learners’ contexts (device type, operating system, limited usage time) and how to identify and respond to common accessibility issues in everyday resources.

The lesson walks through concrete techniques such as checking colour contrast, using heading styles, crafting and applying alt text, structuring hyperlinks, managing file formats and PDFs, setting tab order and form fields, and using captions, speech to text, translation and pictorial apps.

Through realistic learner scenarios (e.g. Julius, Milena, Todd, Bailey), you’ll see how these design decisions impact real people and how to use mainstream tools and apps to make your resources more inclusive for everyone.
Note: Access is granted for 3 months from the date of enrolment.
